We built a custom Zapier workflow that:

  • Triggers from a webhook when a new onboarding item is added in Monday.com,

  • Uses JavaScript to parse item data,

  • Pulls column values from Monday.com to identify relevant scheduling info,

  • Extracts and formats the start date,

  • Prepares the event description,

  • And automatically creates a detailed event in Google Calendar — all without manual input.

  • Path A handles checklist processing: loops through responses, filters completed items, and updates Monday.com columns with structured values,

  • Path B manages file operations: delays execution until files are ready, searches Google Drive, attaches the correct files to Monday.com columns, and finally updates the item with a status indicator.
